Dying to Learn

About this event

This is a two hour presentation foucsing on my Churchill Fellowship findings. In 2019, I travelled to research the ‘human relationship to death and ceremony through alternate approaches and technologies. In this presentation, we examine a select set of those findings and look at the place and people who are doing death differently and with wonderful outcomes for both individuals and communities.

We will look at:

  • Why death?
  • Body disposal
  • Death disruptions
  • Community Capacity
  • Alternate Approaches

Exploring technologies such as human composting, alkaline hydrolysis, solidified remains and natural burial, we will take a look at many of the disruptions and emerging technologies taking place around the world.
